Who we are
” We” and “US” mean Tricorn Computer Ltd.
1.
DEFINITION
The good means new or used parts or accessories to be supplied by us including parts used in Repair Services. The Repair Services means any act or work carried out by us on Devices at Your request. “The Equipment” means Your or third party’s equipment and accessories delivered to us for repair.
2. OUR
RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 We offer
free Diagnoses and examination services on PCs and Laptops. The cost of the
repair will only be charged after obtaining confirmation from our customers
2.2 Turn around period is normally the next day, however, under some circumstances, it may take longer due to availability or difficulty of fault.
3. Your
RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1 Any fault
should be reported in full to Tricorn Computer Ltd; the information will be
used as reference only, as our engineer’s report will be used as the basis of
the full fault report.
3.2 All
customers should collect their PCs/Laptops by completion of repair within 7
days. Any equipment kept on site for more than 7 days after the repair is
completed.
3.3 Customers
should fully check their equipment on the collection, repaired or unrepaired
for any damages, as we will not take any responsibility after the customer
leave the premises.
3.4 Devices that are not collected within 30 days after job completion will be disposed of regardless of ownership.
4. DATA
& SOFTWARE
4.1 Whilst we
ensure reasonable care is taken, we have no liability for loss or damage to
data or software applications while performing the service requested. It is the
customer's responsibility to back up their DATA before handling the equipment
to us for repair.
4.2 Hard disk
drives which fail and need replacement will be replaced with a blank hard disk
with the same capacity and all software installations will be subject to
additional charges.
4.3 Data
recovery service: in all cases, full or partial data back-up or recovery is NOT
guaranteed.
Attempted data recovery MAY result in loss of directory structure or file names and we MAY only be able to recover a portion of the hard drive and other factors. Our minimum charges are applied regardless of the outcome.
5.
WARRANTY
5.1 We offer 30 days, return to base (RTB), warranty on all hardware repairs.
5.2 Warranty
will NOT cover any SOFTWARE installation as working software has been
demonstrated when returning the PCs/Laptops. As our experience shows that some
of the customers attempt to make changes, install incompatible software,
download viruses, and malware which result in corruption of the originally
installed software.
5.3 Laptop
chargers come with 30 days warranty (warranty does NOT include any cuts, broken
tips, or pulled cables they are caused by lack of care and attention.)
5.4 Most new
parts purchased through us, come with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty. For
any fault customers should contact the manufacturer NOT Tricorn Computer Ltd.
5.5
Three-month warranty for AC jack (DC socket) if it is not broken or damaged or
mishandled by the user.
5.6
Three-month warranty for screen replacement, the warranty is void if there are
cracks, scratches, or lines on the screen.
5.7 All
Mobile phones with screen repaired come with one month OUR warranty, which
starts from the date we repaired your device. Your warranty won’t cover you for
accidental damage. This includes any damage to the screen or phone in general
from it being dropped or knocked against anything.
5.8 The warranty will only cover the manufacturer’s fault on mainboards, hard disks, CD/DVD drives, keyboard replacement, etc.
EXCLUDING
Keys on the
keyboard, USB port, broken covers, hinges, etc.
Anything
unrelated to original faults; or if the equipment is improperly used or
modified.
Equipment that has been taken to a different repair centre before reporting to Tricorn Computer Ltd.
6. REFUND
AND REPLACEMENT
6.1 Refunds
only apply on non-faulty goods and are subject to a restocking charge of £25.00
or 25% of the invoice price, whichever is greater within 48 hours of purchase.
All returns must be returned to base (RTB) and in original packing.
6.2 THERE
WILL BE NO REFUND: On repaired goods
as the warranty will cover the free repair. If the customer cannot produce an
original receipt. On all installation or purchased software. Any new items
purchased it is returned, damaged, or not in original packing.
6.3 The
refund will be in original payments such as cheques = cheques etc.
6.4 Only
faulty goods will be replaced if they are not repairable, and will be replaced
with the same or equivalent value item.
7.
AFTER-SALE SUPPORT
7.1 All
software such as Microsoft products, Anti-viruses, and other software
applications come with the software vendor after-sale support. It is the
customer’s responsibility to report any problem to the software vendor, not to
Tricorn Computer Ltd.
7.2 It is the
customer's responsibility to configure the software; we will charge for the
installation or configuration of the software as it will take out our time.
7.3 Our
liability will be limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the goods if
any unit should be damaged or lost while in our possession. Otherwise, our
entire liability to you for damage arising from any cause whatsoever with
respect to the service, whether due to negligence or to any other reasons, is
limited to the amount that you pay us for such service. We have no liability
whatsoever for indirect special, exemplary or consequential damages such as
lost profit or revenue.
7.4 We take no liability for any scratches or brakes laptops and PCs cover as the opening may require some form of force.
8. Cookies
8.1 If you
visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your
browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded
when you close your browser.
8.2 When you
log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and
your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen
options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will
persist for two weeks & you log out of your account, the login cookies will
be removed.
8.3 If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
